FQHC Taps eClinicalWorks Health IT to Boost Population Health
An FQHC in Connecticut increased HIV screenings by 11 percent after adopting population health modules from health IT vendor eClinicalWorks.
A federally qualified health center (FQHC) in Connecticut has implementedpopulation health solutions from health IT vendor eClinicalWorks to enhance care quality.
In particular, the Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. (CIFC) deployed a Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) analytics solution to save time and improve compliance measures.
The institute implemented the model just before the COVID-19 pandemic began, which helped maintain compliance during lockdowns and challenging care settings.
"Before implementing eClinicalWorks Population Health solutions, our providers and staff had to manually check different windows for patient information and compliance metrics," Vinicius Barreto, quality data analyst at the Connecticut Institute for Communities, said in a press release.
"Now, we can see patient clinical quality measure data and track screenings in one place, which has resulted in significant time savings and allows our Quality Team to keep the practice informed of key compliance metrics," Barreto continued.
Since implementing HEDIS Analytics and other population health tools, CIFC has seen significant improvement in population health metrics and screenings, including an 11 percent increase in HIV screenings.

Mobile Wound Care Practice Taps eCW to Drive Efficiency
Global Open Wound Care, a mobile wound care clinic specializing in advanced wound treatments, has deployed an eClinicalWorks EHR to enhance patient care, mobility, and practice efficiency.
With PRISMA, the eClinicalWorks health information search engine, Global Open Wound Care can access patients' medical records from hospital systems nationwide, urgent care centers, specialties, and primary care providers.
"As a mobile wound care clinic, it is essential to have access to patients' complete medical histories, charts, and lab reports at the point of care," Julie Hollingsworth, director of operations at Global Open Wound Care, said in a public statement. "With PRISMA, we can gather records from hospital systems across Texas and surrounding states."
"We selected eClinicalWorks because they offer solutions to streamline record retrieval, enhance documentation, and access the EHR while we're on the road," Hollingsworth added. "We're excited to leverage these advanced solutions to improve our operational efficiency and advance mobile care."
Global Open Wound Care will also leverage eClinicalWorks Scribe, a speech-to-text tool that allows providers to generate progress notes. Scribe is built on a natural language platform with AI-driven voice-recognition software.
Family Medicine Practice Selects Unified eCW Solution
Entira Family Clinics has implemented the eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR to improve patient care delivery.
The physician-owned organization based in St. Paul, MN, provides medical services across ten clinics.
Integrating practice management, EHR, and customizable process notes in a unified solution were key factors in Entira Family Clinics choosing the eClinicalWorks Cloud.
