Hospital Corporation of America
Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) provides care to an expansive population through its 165 hospitals and 115 freestanding surgical centers. By putting the patient first and delivering cost-effective healthcare, HCA is one of the nation’s leading healthcare systems.
In 2006, HCA established its EHR system run by MEDITECH in both its inpatient and ambulatory facilities. Since then, HCA has received numerous HIMSS Stage 6 nods and has also been named as one of the 2014 Most Wired hospitals.
Catholic Health Initiatives
As one third of Catholic Health Initiatives’ One Care EHR unit, MEDITECH serves the healthcare system’s inpatient critical access hospitals. As a result of its extensive EHR system, Catholic Health Solutions has had several hospitals achieve HIMSS Stage 6 and one hospital achieve HIMSS Stage 7.
Catholic Health initiatives has been using MEDITECH as a part of its One Care system since before 2008, connecting all of its 30 critical access facilities.

Hospital Sisters Health System
Through its core values of care, respect, competence, and joy, Hospital Sisters Health System serves nearly 77,000 inpatients annually. Since before 2010, HSHS has been serving those inpatients with its MEDITECH EHR, coordinating the care across all inpatient facilities.
For its achievements in EHR connectivity, HSHS has seen three of its hospitals receive HIMSS Stage 7 recognitions.
Steward Health System
Steward Health System has been a customer of MEDITECH since 2010, and has very recently signed on to continue its contract with the vendor. Since implementing MEDITECH, Steward has seen six of its facilities achieve HIMSS Stage 6 and has been named the top accountable care organization in Massachusetts.
Steward operates 10 hospital campuses, 24 affiliated urgent care providers, six ambulatory surgical care centers, and homecare and hospice centers.
Massachusetts Bureau of Public Health Facilities
The Massachusetts Bureau of Public Health Facilities governs the several public health hospitals throughout the state, including Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, Massachusetts Hospital School, State Office of Pharmacy Services, Tewksbury Hospital, and Western Massachusetts Hospital.
After updating its MEDITECH programs in 2014, Massachusetts Bureau of Public Health Facilities has been able to coordinate its care across the state, specifically in the state’s public health facilities.
Avera Health has used MEDITECH systems since 1989, connecting inpatient and ambulatory physicians across the health system’s 33 hospitals and 208 clinics. Since implementation, Avera has had five hospitals achieve HIMSS Stage 6 and received a 2012 Innovator Award for its Emergency Services.

St. David’s Healthcare
