Three Provider Orgs Look to eClinicalWorks EHR for Workflow Upgrades

Primary Care Joliet, Encore Health Group, UniVida Medical Centers have recently invested in eClinicalWorks EHR to advance workflow upgrades.

Primary Care Joliet, an Illinois-based healthcare organization, has initiated an eClinicalWorks EHR implementation.

This recent move aims to streamline administrative workflows, thereby reducing costs and maintaining patient health outside the hospital setting.

The key tools of eClinicalWorks' EHR to be utilized by Primary Care Joliet include healow Open Access, healow Pay, and the HEDIS Analytics tool.

Specifically, healow Open Access provides an online platform for patients to view and schedule their appointments. This could potentially enhance the patient experience by reducing missed appointments and improving overall satisfaction, the press release stated.

Furthermore, healow Pay is expected to streamline the payment process by allowing patients to settle their bills without logging into a separate patient portal.

On the analytical side, Primary Care Joliet will harness the power of the HEDIS Analytics tool to identify gaps in care, engage patients more effectively, and evaluate treatment compliance. This tool will provide valuable insights that could contribute to improved patient health outcomes.

TN Provider Taps ECW EHR to Boost Operational Efficiency

Encore Health Group and Affiliates, a Tennessee-based chronic pain management practice, has chosen to upgrade to eClinicalWorks' V12 software as a strategic move to enhance both clinical and administrative efficiency.

The eClinicalWorks V12 platform aims to streamline clinical documentation through improved application performance and enhanced usability, addressing the unique needs of pain management treatment.

“Pain management treatment is unique. We have to see our patients once a month. A multidimensional EHR like eClinicalWorks V12 provides deep clinical insights so we can provide exceptional care,” Amy Earp, vice president of operations at Encore Health Group and Affiliates, said in a press release.

Following the introduction of the EHR, Encore Health Group and Affiliates have seen a 300 percent increase in transactions through healow Pay, underscoring the operational efficiency and patient convenience offered by the technology.

“With healow CHECK-IN, our patients can now check-in for their appointments and update demographic information from the comfort of their own home or vehicle,” Earp said. “healow Pay offers our patients more options to securely pay their copay while checking in for their appointments and provides insight into any outstanding balances.”

UniVida Medical Center Taps ECW EHR to Support Value-Based Care

UniVida Medical Centers recently tapped eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR to support its value-based care goals.

This decision aligns with their 10-year strategic plan, which prioritizes preventative care to deliver personalized and optimal patient care.

“Before eClinicalWorks, we used a different EHR system to automate and streamline workflows. We moved to the eClinicalWorks Cloud to meet our organizational goals and prepare for future growth,” Orlando Rodriguez, CEO of UniVida Medical Centers, said in a press release.

“We have Medicare, ACA and Medicaid lines of business in order to provide clinical services for family members in South Florida Market. With the help of eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR, we are looking forward to expanding our services to Central and North Florida in 2024.”

eClinicalWorks' EHR system aims to bring several benefits to the table for UniVida Medical Centers. Firstly, the provider organization will gain access to external patient data with PRISMA, a health information search engine that aggregates records from various healthcare entities like specialists, hospitals, and primary care providers.

Secondly, the system aids in improving quality and operations by standardizing workflows with HEDIS dashboards.

Lastly, it incorporates programs such as Chronic Care Management (CCM), Transition Care Management (TCM), and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) to ensure continuity of care and better patient outcomes. Finally, the vendor has promised ongoing support and dedicated resources for the practice's value-based care journey.
