By Nicole Freeman

Walgreens and Centura Health have announced a clinical partnership to provide Colorado’s Front Range with more convenient, affordable healthcare services. Centura providers like Colorado Health Neighborhoods, and Healthcare Clinic nurses will work to coordinate care and share patient information at select Walgreens locations and the Centura Health network.

Through the partnership, Centua patients will be able to access non-emergency care with or without an appointment seven days of the week. Healthcare Clinic workers will work with Centura patients affected by asthma, diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia manage and monitor their conditions.

“This clinical collaboration further supports our strategic efforts to expand our Total Health Solution to consumers. Centura Health and the Healthcare Clinic at select Walgreens will promote quality care through evidence-based medicine and best practices, and increase convenience through multiple access points, within a service-friendly environment, at an affordable cost,” said Gary Campbell, Centura Health’s president and CEO in a public statement. “Working hand-in-hand, this coordinated care model enables us to carry out our combined vision to deliver optimal health care value and support population health management. The result is more people get the right care, at the right time, in the right place, for the right price.”
